HOW WE MET
Franco and Emma met in July 2020 during the peak of Covid. Both bored of sitting inside and communicating via phone, Emma took the initiative to take it one step further and go out in person.

A DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIP
After those first few magical dates, Franco and Emma quickly became inseparable—spending what felt like every weekend side by side. That summer was filled with simple joys: beach days under the sun, a cozy drive-in movie night, and endless time together thanks to Emma’s online classes during Covid.
Their connection was immediate and natural—both of them often described it as “easy” and “effortless.” By Halloween, Franco made it official and asked Emma to be his girlfriend. A few months later, as the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, they exchanged their first “I love you’s” in Franco’s Jersey City apartment—ringing in the new year with hearts full and futures unfolding.

On a seemingly ordinary day, Franco told Emma they were headed to a friend’s birthday brunch in Jersey City. She got ready like any other weekend—except this time, Franco seemed unusually invested in her outfit, hair, and every little detail (a subtle clue in hindsight).
When they arrived at Liberty State Park, Franco took Emma on a quiet walk toward the water. As they reached the far end of the park, Emma saw them—two stunning pillars of white roses standing tall, waiting just for her. In that moment, tears welled up in her eyes; she knew exactly what was coming.
Franco gently led her between the rose pillars, got down on one knee, and asked her to spend forever with him. With joy, love, and not a single doubt, Emma said yes.

OUR FIRST DATE
Franco and Emma’s story started over brunch at the Draught House in Washington Township, NJ—fueled by good food and instant chemistry. What followed was a hike up Mt. Tammany, where the only quiet moments came while catching their breath on the climb (nature’s version of a pause button).
From the very first minutes, conversation flowed effortlessly—full of laughter, wit, and just the right amount of playful banter. Emma walked away from that day thinking, “This was the best first date ever,” and with a stomach sore from laughing (the best kind of ache).

TRIPS AHOY
Within just six months of officially dating, Franco surprised Emma with a birthday trip to Los Angeles—a gesture that set the tone for their relationship: full of surprises, adventure, and thoughtful moments. From that point on, their love story was written in plane tickets and shared meals.
Together, they've explored cities like Boston, Niagara Falls, Tampa, and most recently—Colombia. Along the way, Franco proudly transformed Emma from a self-proclaimed picky eater into a foodie-in-training (more bites to come...).
Colombia was especially memorable: Emma earned her stripes with the Garcias by saddling up and riding alongside real cattle ranchers at Franco’s uncle’s ranch. After that wild ride, it was clear—Emma was well on her way to becoming part of the Garcia family.
